This was my first visit to Water Valley for this gorgeous country wedding between Traceyann and Davie, and I certainly hope it won’t be my last. I’ve lived my whole life in Calgary, AB but hadn’t been out the way of Water Valley and I must say, it was a treat to photograph the landscape, not to mention the easy-going and happy couple and their bridal party. Needless to say, we laughed a lot and had a great time. And can we talk about the cows! I’ve photographed a lot of wildlife, but I’ve never been in a pen with so many cows and a bride and groom. I could hardly contain my excitement, especially because Davie adores them so it brought a lot of meaning to the shoot as well. The Water Valley church is a must-see. It has been completely restored and the grounds are a Pinterest-lovers dream. There’s a small outdoor bar area with edison bulb string lights, a beautiful little cabin for getting ready and the Church itself is just beautiful. I highly recommend it!
