It’s difficult to determine the percentage of what I love most about capturing my couple’s wedding day. The nervous excitement of getting ready…. The moment when my groom spies his bride for the first time whether on the aisle or in a first glance. There is always a moment during a ceremony where I have to take a deep breath, choke back a tear or two and get back to work. But that is important to me, to feel the emotion; it allows me to bring it all out in my photography…. The creatives that always bring laughter and joy: where inspiration flows…. The toasts, usually a sound mix of touching tributes and hilarious stories…. But like I said, it’s difficult to determine the percentage…. I do have to say that probably above all else, the final viewing is the best part. The work is done and there is a definite excitement and anticipation to the meeting on both sides. In most cases, this is the first time my clients have seen their day unfold from start to finish. It is an undeniably fulfilling moment to share my story of their love. When the wedding is over, the cake is eaten, the dress is hanging in the closet and the guests have made their way home, all that remains is first memories and then photography. Memories fade, the day goes by in a blink- and so I take this task on with the utmost care and reverence and love. For every one of my couples, I craft a custom made slideshow set to the music of their choice, lasting anywhere from 10-15 minutes. It’s a lengthy process, but one that I truly believe in, having witnessed how much it means to my clients’ and their families. And now, a look at the finale – modern style.
