There aren’t too many places that I’d rather be on New Years Eve than Canmore. It’s such a happy place for me and holds so many amazing memories of friends and good times and fireworks. Hearing about Susanne and Mark’s New Years Day wedding was just perfect as I knew we’d bring in the new year in the mountains and I would shoot the next day. Perfect! And it was a perfect day indeed. The weather was just beautiful, that amazing chinook warmth allowed us to stay outside comfortably for as long as we had planned, and it allowed for a fairly comfortable outdoor ceremony too! The ceremony and reception were both held at the Iron Goat in Canmore. I had never done a wedding at this particular Canmore venue but I have to say I was very impressed. I really liked how the space was divided, with the ceremony being outside, the bottom floor was a cocktail space/dance floor and the upper floor was the dinner area. The food was amazing as well, just for future reference! I loved spending the day with this great couple, and their wonderful family and friends.
