Renae and Casey’s wedding day was certainly a little bit charmed. It poured with rain the entire morning but they were steadfast in their resolve to wait until the last second to decide on an indoor or an outdoor ceremony. When I say charmed I’m really not kidding. From the moment the first guests started arriving until the last family portrait, the weather gods kept the rain at bay making for one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever photographed. Typically I am fairly immune to touching ceremonies since I’m lost in my camera looking for the best shots. But not at this ceremony! A few tears definitely fell down this photographer’s cheek! Once the last family picture was done, the skies opened up and it RAINED. Everyone was such good sports! Thankfully, in the mountains it rains in pockets so we were able to wait out the rain under some overhangs and also get some great shots without umbrellas.  Speaking of umbrellas and rain, I could NOT have done this so effortlessly without the talent and help of my second shooter, Erin Wallace of Erin Wallace Photography. We went to ACAD together and found out very quickly that we are a dynamite team. I swear we communicate via ESP on wedding days. Despite being a little soggy, the weather is what created so much drama for the photographs and I really can’t complain too much! Renae and Casey, you make a stunningly perfect couple. Your admiration and respect for each other is enviable and it made capturing that love such a glorious task.
