I feel very lucky to live in Calgary, a city abundant with such gorgeous parks like Baker Park in Bowness. It was a terrific summer and we definitely were basking in the summer sun that day. The rambunctious and hilarious group that made up Morgan and Kellen’s wedding party kept Joelene and I in stitches, I’m still smiling thinking about it! A wedding day is most people’s first encounter with professional photography and I make it my mission to be a positive, engaging and FUN experience. We don’t spend hours in stiff poses, I describe myself as a dynamic and candid photographer, I love movement, I love landscape and happiness and combining it all together. There is always a lot of laughter. I’m constantly looking for those moments of authenticity, of connection between my couples, their family and their friends. It is truly what I live for, what makes this my perfect job. Morgan and Kellen chose the most beautiful white tent for their reception on his parents’ property out near Cochrane. To this day, the sunset session we did is one of my most favourites. The pastel hues in the sky and the stillness of the night, it was so special. I definitely recommend a quick get-away with just the bride and groom during the reception at sunset. It’s a perfect opportunity for more incredible imagery, but more than that, it’s a nice breather. A beautiful moment to just take some deep breaths and reminisce about the day, the fastest, best day of your life.
