When I met with Kate and Sean and they gushed about their destination wedding plans I had to pinch myself. I absolutely love destination weddings but have never been to Jamaica. I immediately went home and googled Bahai Principe in Montego Bay, Jamaica and was greeted with stunning pictures of the resort and surrounding area. Shooting in a hot destination is not without challenges, photography wise. I actually liken it to winter shooting in the mountains. The extreme heat has as much effect on people as does extreme cold. But we took it slow, I made sure we stopped for tons of water breaks, and found a couple shady spots to rest. The ceremony was absolutely perfect, I adored the steel drum band and it really made for an authentic vibe. As the sun set on our creatives session I remember squealing with excitement at the absolute stunning quality of light enveloping them. It’s something photographers dream about. I’m not kidding! I had an incredible time and cannot wait to go back!
