There comes a point in every well-laid plan when sometimes you just have to wing it. This wedding will go down in my personal wedding photographer files as my most favourite entrance ever. Ever. Yeah I said it. Ever. And I say that as someone who is always impartial because I truly adore all my weddings and all my couples (I really do). But Christy, well, her entrance was extra special. It was a “have lemons, make lemonade” type scenario; her entrance music refused to play and instead of dreaded silence, her genius bridesmaids started singing. And then everyone started singing. I was singing. I’ll never forget how special it felt and I am SO happy her music didn’t play. In talking with Christy and Alex, they most wanted the love and emotion to shine through in their images; ahem, music to my ears (I guess it shall be the theme of this post). I loved capturing their day, so much laughter, so much love, so much happiness. The weather even cooperated and just as the last click of my shutter released, the heavens opened and started a downpour. Inside at the Canmore Golf and Curling Club, we all kept cozy and warm and happy. It was truly an unforgettable day.
