A little rain on a wedding day is considered good luck. A little rain for a photographer is lovely. It creates drama and the light doesnt get any better. So with a little bit of preparation and some umbrellas, rain really is a good thing. For Allie and Jeff, it was pretty much the perfect day as the weather held for their ceremony and they got to use the incredible Lake Louise and the mountains as the backdrop to seal their love as husband and wife. The best part of the evening was a musical chairs style game played by one person from each table. I have never seen anything like it and could barely photograph it as I was doubled over in laughter and awe at how fast and intense the game was. The game started out asking each person to find a specific item and chairs were taken away on each round. It was finally dwindled down to one chair and I was a bit scared for the chair as two men hurled themselves onto it. The winner was declared and a giant bottle of liquor was awarded. The reception was just stunning, like something out of a move and I loved the bubble machine for the first dance. Allie invited her two boys that she babysat to act as ushers and also play violin and it really added such a special atmosphere to the day. I left the party just as the Ice Sculpture luge was getting well used and the tunes were in full force. What a day it was!
