I have been looking forward to shooting Sabrina’s maternity session since Christmas. It was then that I got an email from Sabrina asking about my availability and wanting to book a session, almost at the same time as Sabrina’s mom writing to ask how she can buy a gift certificate for Sabrina as a surprise. It was fun to scheme with her mom, knowing fully that Sabrina would be getting a present she was going to love. I have been shooting for 10 years now and I have no idea why, but I have never full taken advantage of the (limited) cherry blossoms. This year was my year though and I set out to find the best patches. I had to keep reminding myself that I had a timeline, that the sun would be setting and we needed to catch that for the second half of the shoot. But seriously those blossoms are just out of this world. I had the pleasure of photographing Sabrina and Brad’s wedding out in Osoyoos at Spirit Ridge Resort and it always makes me SO happy (we’re talking giddy kind of happy) when my couples come back to document other life milestones. It’s basically a continuing recognition that I’m on the right track. Enjoy these blossoms, and this truly wonderful momma and dadda to be!
